The Honkiniemi church is located in the Honkiniemi camping and training centre area, 15 kilometres from the centre of Ähtäri.

The Honkiniemi church was completed in the year 1999. It is a log church designed and built by Honkarakenne. The Honkiniemi church has a capacity of 180 people. The church and its scenic altar serve to comfort and reinvigorate the spirit, bringing visitors close to God’s creation, thanks to a lake view that changes along with the seasons.

During the summer, the doors of the roadside church are open, offering a different place to stop off along the way, whether you’re travelling for work or on holiday.
