Sponsorship

The Seinäjoki Parish’s sponsorship principles are based on the values of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland while supporting the implementation of Seinäjoki Parish’s strategy. We primarily participate in projects that support the daily lives of families with children and further prevent social exclusion. We strive for long-term cooperation aimed at furthering the activities of both parties.

Sponsorship programme principles and procedures for the Seinäjoki parish

1. Sponsorship definition
   In this guide, sponsorship refers to contributions for which the parish receives appropriate compensation for its investment. For example: an increase in visibility or recognition. With a well-planned sponsorship, it is possible to reach people in our area, especially in the places where they engage in their hobbies and spend their free time. When the targets are chosen carefully, the parish can convey its messages to those groups with the support of positive images related to the sponsorship target.
    
2. Sponsorship procedure and budget
   Sponsorship applications in the Seinäjoki Parish are handled at a parish-wide level. The selection of recipients is done in accordance with the Seinäjoki Parish’s common principles and policies.
   
   The parish’s leading team defines a budget for the sponsorships, manages the sponsorship applications, chooses the recipients/partners and makes sponsorship agreements. The sponsorship budget for the whole parish is determined in the budgetary estimates.
    
3. Sponsorship recipients
   The sponsorship principles are based on the values of the Evangelical Church of Finland through the application of the Seinäjoki parish’s strategy.
   
   The Seinäjoki parish is primarily involved with enterprises that support the daily lives of families with children and help prevent social exclusion. We mainly support activities that support well-being, such as exercise, culture or events in the Seinäjoki parish area of activity. Environmental and social responsibility play a central role in the selection of our partners. We strive for long-term collaboration that aims to promote the activities of both parties.
    
4. Agreements
   Sponsorship agreements are always made in writing, for a term of two years at a time.
    
5. Sponsorship applications and benefits
   Applications for sponsorship are submitted through the form available on the Seinäjoki Parish website. The parish’s leading team manages the application before the end of the previous sponsorship agreement period. The selected partners will be notified about the decisions.
   
   The benefits offered in return for sponsorship must be clearly specified in the application: what would the sponsorship funding be used for? How would Seinäjoki Parish be involved in the partnership? How would Seinäjoki Parish concretely benefit from the partnership? Tell us about the different opportunities. From what other organisations have you received or asked for support?

If the benefits specified in the application are not fulfilled, or if for any reason the visibility provided turns out to be negative, the Seinäjoki parish has the right to change the contract in accordance with the terms set out therein, or to terminate the agreement in accordance with the timetable there specified. In addition to other forms of cooperation specified in the agreement, the parties commit to actively following each other on the social media channels used by both parties, as well as sharing appropriate content from each other’s channels to a separately agreed extent.
