The Seinäjoki parish offers a variety of activities for young people.

Confirmation school
Confirmation school is a place where young people can reflect on the important questions of life.

Group and senior leaders
As a group leader (iso), and later as a senior leader (vanha), you serve as a role model for younger participants and have the opportunity to meet new people. Group leader training can be started after confirmation school. Senior leader training continues from the group leader programme. Together, the training programmes span three years.

The band rehearsal room at Ojala rectory in Ylistaro offers an opportunity to practice and develop your music skills. The rehearsal facilities are located on the upper floor.

As rehearsal space is limited, the use of the facilities is governed by specific rules and guidelines. Instruction is available for the use of the band’s equipment and instruments.

Kismus Evenings for young people aged 15–25 with special support needs are held once a month on Wednesdays from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The autumn 2026 dates are:

  • 26 August 2026
  • 23 September 2026
  • 21 October 2026
  • 18 November 2026
  • 9 December 2026

The evenings include fun activities, coffee, and time to spend together. No advance registration is required, and newcomers are welcome to join at any point during the season.

Youth Café Kismus

Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, and Fridays from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

Youth Café Kismus is open for lower secondary school-aged and older young people on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, and on Fridays from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

Student Nights take place on Tuesdays from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

Youth Evenings are held on Thursdays from 6 pm to 9 pm, with a programme session from 7 pm to 8 pm.

The evenings are open to young people of lower secondary school age and older.

Youth Link In the Youth Link chat, you can talk anonymously with one of our professionals. The chat is open on Mondays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (excluding public holidays). Walk-In Therapy is available on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
