About the church
The hospital church also works as a training facility of students, staff members and other toimii myös koulutustilana opiskelijoille, henkilökunnalle ja muille other partner organisations on matters relating to pastoral care. The hospital church has seating for 20 people.
The hospital chapel at Seinäjoki Central Hospital was consecrated by the bishop Simo Peura in the spring of 2015. It is a place where people can sit in church services and spend a moment of devotion and communion. The hospital church is also a hospital living room, a meeting place, a place to stop, rest, and quiet down. It is open to every visitor of the hospital, every patient and their close ones and the staff, regardless of their belief system.
You can access the hospital chapel via the main entrance of the Central Hospital or the Y-building. The hospital chapel is situated near the Aronia café on the 2nd floor of the hospital, in Section E.
