Sunday School (Pyhis) is a parish activity designed especially for young children and primary school-aged children.
Information about Sunday school
Sunday school is for children 4-14 years old and is a service offered by the parish free of charge.
No registration needed
You can join without prior registration.
What do you do in Sunday school?
Sunday School is intended for children from preschool age to primary school age. Sessions last from 30 minutes to one hour and are free of charge. Seinäjoki Parish offers a variety of themed Sunday School groups. Each child receives their own Sunday School chart, where they can collect participation stickers.
Instructors
Sunday school is led by volunteer instructors from the parish.
Subscribe the Pyhis-letter
Subscribe to the Sunday School Letter and have it delivered directly to your home. Through the Sunday School Letter, children can enjoy a short devotional moment together with the whole family. Each letter also includes activities related to the theme, such as crafts and other hands-on projects. The Sunday School Letter is free of charge, and each child in the family can receive their own copy.

Early childhood education activity season
Our fall 2026 activities begin in August during week 33.
The exception is Pikkuhelppi, which starts in week 34.
Our spring 2027 activities begin in January during week 2 and end in June during week 24.
There are no weekly activities on public holidays or during vacation weeks 9 and 42.

Registration opens in week 40 on the parish website.
Cooking Sunday School meets five times each season. Advance registration is required, and children aged 4 to 14 are welcome to participate. Places are filled in the order registrations are received.
Cooking Sunday School is a fun cooking session where children prepare food together, share a meal, and learn practical everyday household skills.

Craft Sunday School is intended for children aged 4 to 14, but younger children are welcome to join with a parent or other adult. During Craft Sunday School, children create a variety of crafts while making use of their own creativity, with activities adapted to their age and skill level. Each session also includes a short devotional moment.
