Assets

The purpose of asset discolosure is to enable an objective assessment of the arrangements and decision-making. By disclosing our assets we want to increase the opennes and transparency of the administration, and to inspire trust in the Seinäjoki Parish decision-making body.

Asset disclosure

According to paragraph 13 of the guidelines of the Seinäjoki Parish Church Board, the chairperson, the vice-chairperson, and other members, as well as the chair and vice-chair of the Church Council, are requested to submit a declaration within two months of assuming their position regarding any management or official position outside the parish or in any other buisness enterprise or other organizazion, as well as any property acquired for business or investment purposes and any other significant assets that may be relevant in assessing their activities as an elected official.

A corresponding declaration is requested within two months from the start of the employment relationship from the leading office holder who, in addition to the parish priest acting as chairperson of the Parish Board, includes the administrative director, leading chaplains, heads of ministry areas and managers.

Asset disclosure and assets register

The asset disclosure is delivered to the Church Parish Board. The Board maintains a register in which the information given by the elected officials and office holders about their assets is recorded. The Board submits the declarations to the Parish Council for information annually.

The Church Board takes care of the publication of the public information in the asset register on the parish webpage, if the elected official or office holder has given consent to the publication of the information. The information is deleted from the register and the parish webpage upon the termination of the elected office or public service, or if the elected official or public servant revokes their consent.
