Music school tuition fee

The tuition fee for a season starting in spring is €130 per child, with a siblings discount of €100, and a second instrument is €80. The price of a six-session lesson package for adults is €180.

Music school education

The music school’s education consists of 12 lessons in the spring. Each lesson lasts 20 minutes per student.

The instruments taught at the Seinäjoki parish music school are piano, flute, and guitar. Children can begin learning to play the piano at age 6. Students can begin learning the flute and guitar between the ages of 8 and 10.

Lessons take place in the parish facilities and are primarily taught by young students from the South-Ostrobothnia Music School who are further along in their own musical studies.

All children are accepted into the program in order of registration. The teaching materials used are the same as those in other public music schools, but the spring recitals also feature devotional music.

At our music school, every student is encouraged to progress at their own pace, based on their individual abilities and the starting points set by their family. Students at the music school are invited to perform at parish events.
