Life events and funerals

The parish is present in both everyday life and life’s special moments. Baptisms, confirmation, marriage ceremonies, and funerals are church services conducted by the parish.

Baptism
Baptism is a special gift from God. Through baptism, God gives us Faith, Grace and Blessing.

Confirmation
In confirmation, a person confirms the promises made at their baptism.

Marriage
Marriage is both a gift from God and a legal agreement between two people. In a church wedding, a couple promises to love and care for each other, and the Church asks God to bless their life together.

The blessing of home
A home blessing is a small religious ceremony where we ask God to protect and bless a home and the people who live there.

Funeral
Christians believe that death is not the end. We trust in eternal life and God’s love. After death, we are in God’s care.
